How can I work full time on music?

HOW DO YOU MAKE PLAYING MUSIC YOUR FULL TIME JOB?

You get enough gigs and make enough money to live off!

I'm a full time musician and I live off a wage of currently $900 a week which is similar to what a school music teacher gets paid. My band is called Champagne Wedding Duo and I run the business with my duo partner Reilly Craig. Our business pays for things like: the purchase of my car, fuel, tyres, car servicing, music equipment, gig clothes, stage makeup, promo videos, photos, flights, etc. So those things do not come out of my wage ;) We can also increase the wage if we feel like it. We have set our business up as a company so we pay less tax than a sole trader. We have a wage so we can still apply for loans, etc. like people with 'normal jobs' can. We also pay our own superannuation.

HOW DO YOU GET ENOUGH GIGS?

You have a heap of agents sending you regular gig offers and you promote yourself so people contact you directly to book you! Or become exclusive with one big agent who gives you endless gigs.

HOW DO YOU GET ON THE BOOKS OF AN AGENT?

You meet them, find out what they're after and which acts sell well on their books, and send them promotional material.

WHAT PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL DO YOU SEND THEM?

Professional videography of you performing live and professional photos.

IS THERE REALLY ENOUGH WORK OUT THERE TO MAKE A LIVING FROM PLAYING AT GIGS?

Our little boutique agency that we started in 2021 paid $30K to musicians for gigs we booked them for. In 2022 our agency paid $200K + to musicians for gigs. Imagine the millions of dollars being paid to musicians collectively by all of the bigger agencies that have been around for decades! If you want to do this as a job it is possible!

HOW CAN I MAKE THIS ALL HAPPEN?

Come to Gig School!

If you dream of playing music full time and quitting that boring dead end job you have, you need to get to Gig School!

For the price of one gig, you'll get to make a promotional video and have photos taken as well as meet a bunch of booking agents.

Agents are less likely to book a musician they have never met before, so come and meet them in person all at once!

Musicians who attended our last Gig School Masterclass have:
-Had their busiest week of gigs to date
-Doubled their bookings
-Quit their boring day jobs

If you don't come along, you will stay in the same situation with no gigs and a boring job :( You're talented and you deserve better! Invest in yourself! This is incredible value! Don't wait until next year to change your life for the better! Save the date for our next Gig School event on 1st July 2023! Tickets will be released in January 2023.
